May 2005 - Two novellas by Elizabeth DePasquale explore the journey from innocence to experience. In String of Her Shirt, Peter travels with his friend Lori to a fantastical realm, hoping to find his missing cousin and protect Lori as she searches for her estranged father. Star-Gazing is told from the perspective of a teenage girl, Layla, who is forced to discover who she is and what she wants when lost love tears her sense of self apart. Elizabeth DePasquale is a full-time student in the CUNY Honors College at Brooklyn College. Innocence, In A Sense is her first book. She has won The Bertha and Philip Goodman Short Story Award for both novellas and plans to write more fiction during her graduate studies.
