February 2003 - January 20, 2003 - Publisher Weekly Article praises the break out of Happiness Is Free and It's Easier Than You Think during the busy holiday season. This book is now available in stores and is being heavily promoted via an 8-city PR tour by the Ford Group.

Excerpts From 01-20-03 Publishers Weekly Article Routes to Success Vary for Self-pubbed Authors: "It's no small feat for a self-published book to garner five-figure sales and major media attention, but when two such books break out during the busiest retail season, it's especially noteworthy. After becoming a surprise #1 bestseller on Amazon.com in late October, the self-help guide Happiness Is Free: And It's Easier Than You Think by Hale Dwoskin and Lester Levenson has sold more than 20,000 copies online...

Dwoskin's book is the first of five that convey the teachings of the late physicist Levenson, who found peace by "releasing" his negative thoughts and emotions. After Levenson died in 1994, his protégé, Dwoskin, founded Sedona Training Associates, in Arizona, which offers workshops and sells audiotapes of its programs. To promote the 2002 release of Happiness, Dwoskin e-mailed thousands of his former students, whose response propelled the book to the top of Amazon's list. As books begin to hit stores in January, Dwoskin will be featured in the self-help segment of Showtime's series American Pop Culture, scheduled to air mid-winter...

Though Dwoskin initially decided to self-publish so that he could control the book's content and timing, he isn't about to turn away interested parties. 'I'm keeping my options open,' he said. 'If it's an offer I can't refuse, I won't'..."

So how have they done it? Levenson and Dwoskin may not be a household name in your home, yet, but they are in thousands of homes throughout the world. Already a leading player in the personal development industry with the highly acclaimed Sedona Method Course, Sedona Press has a loyal following to grow on. With a customer-base of nearly 60,000 and an online subscriber list of near 150,000, Sedona Press is a mighty-mite in the self-publishing industry.

"Our graduates of The Sedona Method Course know how powerful our work is and many couldn't wait to get their hands on the book to share with family and friends," says co-author Hale Dwoskin. "It certainly helps to have an existing market that already love what we do."

"We have a strong online presence, but we also have thousands of customers who have been waiting for the book to come out in the bookstores," adds Dwoskin. "A lot of people still aren't comfortable purchasing online, so this should translate to solid sales for the stores."

The book is available through SCB Distributors as well as through Ingram, Baker & Taylor, Book People and New Leaf. This author is an authority on how to have lasting Happiness, security and peace of mind even during challenging and uncertain times.
