December 2000 - Blending elements of science fiction and the paranormal, the Destiny series explores the duality of good and evil set against two worlds, Earth and Nirvana. A child of these worlds, Destiny van Kampen, a human/alien hybrid, must lead a besieged Earth from its nadir into a new era. As the chosen one, the quest for salvation and rebirth is not only for the world, but for herself as she must come to terms with a powerful legacy bequeathed to her by ancient guardian spirits. Incorporating the past, present and near future, the series examines issues relevant to modern society and women in stronger, more decisive roles.
