New Internet Travel Directories Offer Web Surfers a Shortcut to Inside Travel Information

May 2000 - Just in time for the summer travel season are four new Internet directories published by Notebook Publications, Inc. of Fort Collins, Colorado, a company that specializes in organizing travel Web sites into easy-to-use reference books for Web surfers of all abilities. Written from the "inside' by Judith Albright, a travel-industry professional with more than 30 years in the business, these directories make key word searches unnecessary. All are organized by category and sub-category. Users can easily find Web sites that are likely to have the information they want simply by selecting a category and checking the listings within each. Individual listings provide the name of the supplier or service, the URL, and a brief description of what can be found on the site. By reading the site description users can determine in advance whether or not a Web site is likely to contain the information they are seeking. Four titles are currently available:

The Traveler's Internet Guide to Destinations, Travel Companies, Products and Services Around the World is a comprehensive directory aimed toward frequent travelers, libraries, and businesses offering Internet access to the public.
