April 2000 - Bloomington, Ind. -- On March 2, UnlimitedPublishing.com (UP) was acquired by a group of private investors led by Danny O. Snow. A new Limited Liability Company has now been formed to manage the new enterprise, with an initial valuation of $2.2 million.

UP is a service provider of revolutionary new "print on demand" (POD) technologies for authors and publishers, which make it possible to distribute high quality books from thousands of bookstores world-wide, at a small fraction of the cost of conventional methods.

While UP books are high quality, the latest POD technology makes it possible to virtually eliminate waste, so most books can be published worldwide at a cost of less than $800. [Editors please note: this is not a typo; the correct figure is eight *hundred* dollars.]

"We know it sounds too good to be true," admits Snow. "But you don't have to take our word for it." As noted by Walter Kirn in TIME Magazine (8/2/99) "... some industry experts predict that someday all books will be published this way...."

Snow, made headlines in the publishing world from 1997-99 as director of communications and planning for 1stBooks, a commercial retailer of electronic books. He has been widely quoted about new publishing technologies by news media across the nation, including The Wall Street Journal, Associated Press, United Press International, Publishers Weekly, Los Angeles Times, Washington Times, Denver Post, Talk America Radio, and many others.

Snow has also published a popular new book titled U-Publish.com: How today's writers can effectively compete with the giants of the publishing industry (ISBN 1-58500-733-1) co-authored with Dan Poynter, widely regarded as one of the world's foremost authorities on self- publishing. Info about the book is available from a website named for the books's title: www.u-publish.com. Snow also serves as a guest columnist for eBooknet.com, a leading online resource for electronic publishing, and other publishing industry trade publications.

"UP is actively seeking manuscripts in an extremely wide variety of genres," says Snow. "While UP accepts a limited number of submissions from previous unpublished writers, our system is ideally suited for small presses that want to lower production costs, and for previously published books whose rights have reverted to their authors."

"New technologies are rapidly changing the way authors and publishers will deliver their work to a vast worldwide audience in the new millennium," he continued. "UP helps writers and small presses to use them today."
