February 2000 - Where can you go and find in one place people who can answer questions about getting a book edited, book jacket design, finding a printer, developing a marketing plan, dealing with distributors, setting up bookstore signings, processing credit cards, or selling on the web? That is a Publishing Fair!

If you are just contemplating your first book, on your final draft, or have copies in the trunk of your car, you will find useful information at the Tucson Publishing Fair on Saturday, March 4. Sponsored by the Arizona Book Publishing Association in celebration of Small Press Month, and hosted by Treasure Chest Books, this event will offer a unique opportunity to get concrete, how-to advice from professionals in all aspects of the book publishing industry.

Running from 1 to 5 p.m. at Treasure Chest Books' new building on 451 N. Bonita (one block west of Interstate 10 and one block south of St. Mary's), you will be able to collect practical information from book designers, printers, publishers, distributors, and retailers. Save yourself time and effort by learning from experts. Admission is free.

If you are a professional and want to contribute your expertise, act soon! Table space is limited. Contact Robert Casler (520-621-7177, rcasler@ag.arizona.edu) if you want to reserve a place.
