The Los Angeles Times, Sunday, April 18/The Kid's Reading Room recommends Riding On the Wind and Outlaws by San Diego author, Brix McDonald, as western frontier culture reading. McDonald is nearing the release of her second title in the Carrie Sutton series, Outlaws, sequel to the highly recommended young adult historical fiction adventure, Riding On the Wind.

Riding On the Wind is a historical fiction account of a young woman nearly sixteen who dreams of becoming a Pony Express rider. This month of April marks the 139th anniversary of the Pony Express run. The 1860's trail began in St. Joseph, Missouri, continued through Nebraska, Wyoming, Utah, Nevada, and ended in Sacramento, California.

Riding On the Wind is available through major distributors, wholesalers, and many Internet book sites including BookZone.
