December 1998 - Expensive, ESL language programs are voted out in many states, class sizes are reduced, but reading scores remain dismal. Students still cannot read. Something else is missing.

Perhaps Tracy Ciambrone has found this missing link. Says Ciambrone, "This easy-to-use program fits with any other program or stands alone. Parents even use it. My students are all Non-English Speaking or Limited English Speaking, are taught in English only -- and they love it!"

Bettina Dunne, a reading teacher from Lowell School District in CA, also has found success. Writes Dunne, "Our school district has implemented this program with all students in our Title One Program. By midyear third- graders' reading comprehension went up twenty-two points. Students now read words they could only guess at before, and have strategies to decode unknown words. Our teachers are thrilled!"
