Pat Schroeder to Address at Upcoming Publishing Conference

June 1998 - Boulder, CO -- The Rocky Mountain Book Publisher's Association has invited Pat Schroeder to be the luncheon speaker at the 17th Annual National Book Publishing Conference to be held on November 7-10, 1998 at the LaFonda on the Plaza Hotel, in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Ms. Schroeder, formerly a U.S. Representative for the state of Colorado, is currrently the President of the Association of American Publishers and has been active in speaking out for the interests of publishers and in copyright protection of intellectual property.
Sponsored by the Rocky Mountain Book Publishers Association, The National Book Publishing Conference is a three-day professional development conference for publishers and authors. Last year, over 400 publishers, editors, production staff, marketers and authors attended this conference which included a variety of seminars and roundtables on important publishing issues. One of the unique features of this conference is a pre-conference seminar called Publishing 101 which is open to individuals and self-publishers who want a thorough overview of the publishing business. The 1998 Conference will also include vendor trade show exhibits, a banquet, and an annual design awards ceremony.
