More than half of all widows have some type of afterlife communications with their husbands. According to a poll conducted by Andrew Greeley of the National Opinion Research Council she is not alone. The survey reports that 44% of American adults say they have been in contact with the dead. The number is even higher for widows: 67% of them said they had been in touch with their dead husbands.

For Harrison, the events following her husband's death have changed her life. A successful retail store owner in Tampa, Florida for many years, Harrison has experienced amazing paranormal experiences since Patrick was killed in a tragic truck/train accident in 1978.

"I was grief struck for months when my birthday rolled around and Patrick showed up in my bedroom. He looked as if he was coming home from work." It took me a moment to realize he was dead."
